Problems are opportunities, aren't they? Obviously, a four-fold devaluation simultaneously wth a trebling of international prices for Russia's major export provided a uniquely benign set of conditions for output recovery - especially as devaluation did not reignite high inflation. I have to say I was among those who perceived the financial crisis of August the 17th as a unique opportunity rather than a problem, due to the massive change in Russian price competitiveness . I had left my homecity of St. Petersburg in the early ninetees in order to study International Business and Economics in a Western country, in those terms understood by the West, which was not yet possible to do in Russia at the time I enrolled to the University. Today I am 26, with MBA in Economics and International Business Administration. I am practically threelingual and have more than six years experience of working for respectable Internatioanal companies doing business with Russia. Particular field of my interest is Foreign Direct Investment in Russia. The reason I appeal to you is that I have great desire to work and apply my skills and capabilities for Russia and in Russia, and I should very much appreciate your advise. Let me be franc, I should like to establish direct contact . Please, kindly advise as to the most appropriate way to get in touch with you directly. I won't deny, I am looking forward to that.
Best regards and wishes for a successful and rewarding New Year.
